Principle Four – FEEDBACK – How will you know if you are getting the outcome you want?
Last week we talked about knowing your outcome; this applies whether it is serving a customer, in the workplace, personal and career outcomes. To get the results we want we must have the sensory acuity to gauge whether we are on the right track.
We are responsible for our communication and the results we get. During the sale we must watch for clues on how the customer perceives us, our communication style and whether we are solving their problem. Use this as feedback; if you can sense that the customer is not responding you must change the way you are communicating. Have the behavioural flexibility to change what you are doing and do something different. Use the feedback to always seek improvement.
